As a small business owner, TJ is active in the local community and is running for office because he believes he could bring a different perspective and get things done.
A graduate from Emory & Henry University where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in theater and production management with minors in biology and chemistry. Since then, he pursued a career in production and business management. During his pursuit he has been an executive in several different industries and venues. A restauranteur, regional trainer, and strategy developer for technology retail (Best Buy, Inc), an executive in the veterinary and pet wellness retail industries (Banfield, PetSmart/Petco), and president of a small private equity firm covering 8 separate industries.
He is passionate about servant leadership and believes that city government should be responsive to the needs of its residents. He has a record of accomplishment of being able to identify and address the needs of a community, a business, and a team. He has a track record of being able to work with Councils and other city officials to get things done.
TJ plans to continue to be an active part and deliver for the community alongside his husband Tim and the two corgis Keoke and Maui. If you see them out don’t hesitate to stop and say hello.
If elected he will work to ensure that local government has a positive effect on our quality of life and not be intrusive to the residents of Tiffin. He will ensure all residents have a voice and make decisions in the best interest of the cities residents.
Together, we can push past the small and divisive politics that we see in the country today–and get back to the big, bold vision that defines Tiffin.
“Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality. Not me, US!”
We believe this defining decade presents the opportunity to make the next chapter in life more like what it should be–more inclusive, prosperous, and decent.
Chip in Now and support the critical work ahead.
